SUMMARY

On September 20, 2019, a family returned from vacation to their home in Honolulu, HI where
they found a stranger inside their house, wearing their clothes. They confronted him, and local
police soon arrived to arrest him. He had been living in their home for the past week.

More disturbing was the discovery that the home invader had left several pages of notes
behind, detailing a plot to surgically alter several members of the family. The notes included
references to the supernatural, and the family suspected that he was involved with a local
cult.

Months later, the father of the family received a phone call from a woman who demanded to
speak with his children. After some investigation, he learned that the woman who called him
was a member of a local cult. The notes left by the home invader allude to beliefs shared by
the members of this cult.

The man responsible for the home invasion was Ezequiel Zayas, a Bellford, CT based
hip-hop artist who went missing on July 29, over three weeks prior to his arrest in Honolulu.
He was eventually deemed unfit to stand trial for the break-in. A fitness review hearing is
set for 05/12/20 at 9:30am.

The victims of the home invasion have since moved out of Hawaii and believe that they may
be in danger.
LIST OF EVENTS

July 29, 2019 - Zayas is seen in Bellford, CT for the last time before his disappearance. He
is last seen wearing a white and yellow T-shirt, beige khakis and black and white sneakers.
He is 23 and is described as a white man with brown eyes and brown hair. He is 6 feet tall
and weighs approximately 150 pounds.

August 9, 2019 - Bridgeport police take a missing person report for Zayas.

August 23, 2019 - Zayas' mother calls Bridgeport police. She reports that a doctor in
Honolulu, HI contacted her and told her that he was treating Zayas. She says that Zayas
wants "to return to Connecticut." The police department could not make contact with the
doctor, and were not involved again until they received word that he had been arrested in
Hawaii. They were informed of his arrest on the week of October, 4 2019.

September 12, 2019 - Zayas receives a criminal citation for smoking in a prohibited place.
This is his first case on record with the Hawaii state judiciary.

September 20, 2019 - A family based in Honolulu, HI returns home after a week-long
visit to relatives on the mainland. They find Zayas in their home wearing clothes he found
inside the house. The father of the family confronts Zayas, and he is kept on-site until local
police arrive. Later that day, the family discovers "several pages of notes" in their house.
The notes outline Zayas' plan to perform surgery on the mother and children of the family.
There are religious and/or spiritual references in the notes. The notes also refer to a "group"
that Zayas is working with, and the family suspects Zayas of having ties to a local cult. The
family finds knives laying beside a bed in the house. They learn that Zayas used their xbox
to watch pornography and search for medical equipment online. They find diary entries which
lead them to believe that he watched them prior to the break-in.

The family learns that he entered their home on September 13, 2019. Neighbors say that they
witnessed what they assumed to be domestic violence between Zayas and an unidentified
woman. The neighbors called for security at the time, but there was no response, and no one
followed up on their call.

September 22, 2019 - Zayas is formally charged with first degree burglary.

September 26, 2019 - Zayas pleads not guilty and is given supervised release while he
awaits trial.

October 4, 2019 - the state is given documents recovered from digital devices belonging
to the family whose home Zayas invaded. A court document reads that the documents
“appear to have been created by Defendant and ... demonstrate the danger posed by
Defendant."

October 9, 2019 - Zayas is arrested for robbery at a Buhddist Study Center near the
University of Hawaii at Manoa.

February 2, 2020 - Zayas is deemed unfit to stand trial and is committed to Hawaii State
Hospital. A fitness review hearing is set for 05/12/20 at 9:30am.

Between 0 and 6 months After September 20, 2019 (date unknown) - The victims of
the home invasion move out of state and take measures to hide their personal information.

2020 (date unknown) - Despite having changed his cell phone number, the father of the
family receives a call from someone he believes is connected to Zayas. Using "[Caller] ID,
social media, and other publicly available information", the father of the family learns that
the woman who called him is a member of a local cult. The notes left by the home invader
allude to beliefs shared by members of that cult.

He describes the call in his own words here:

"Just a few weeks ago, I received a phone call from a woman demanding to speak to the
kids. Confused by the call, I paused and she elaborated 'the boys'. I was unsure if it may
have been my ex wife or one of her friends asking to talk to the kids, so I asked who it was
and she hung up. After looking into the person, she is involved with a known cult with
striking similarities to the ideologies in the notes left behind by the male suspect."

CONCLUDING REMARKS

The family believes that the cult that Zayas is involved with is not the Buddhafield cult in
Kailua (subject of the 2016 documentary, Holy Hell). The family has not yet released further
details on their experience or which cult they suspect to be involved.
